City Council Chairman Monitors Free Nutritious Meals in Cipulir

Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin, accompanied by his partner, Wibi Andrino, reviewed the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program at SDN 01 Cipulir, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, Wednesday (2/12).

It was also attended by Jakarta City Council Vice Chairman, Wibi Andrino, People's Welfare Acting Assistant, Hendra Hidayat, and Economy and Finance Acting Assistant, Suharini Eliawati.

Jakarta City Council Chairman, Khoirudin said today's review was conducted to ensure the implementation of free nutritious meals is proceeding well.

362 Students of SDN Duren Sawit 14 Enjoy Free Nutritious Meal

"Since last January, there are already 14 SPPGs in Jakarta serving 42,000 students. And, today, we are visiting the school to ensure the nutritious meals are going well," he expressed.

He hoped that the provision of free nutritious meals will keep increasing to reach 557 SPPGs in Jakarta in the next few months.

"And imitate what has been done in the 14 SPPGs that have been operating to date," he added.

People's Welfare Acting Assistant, Hendra Hidayat explained the 14 SPPGs had been operating until January 31, 2025, serving 126 schools with 42,270 students.

"At SDN 01 Cipulir, one out of eight schools in Kebayoran Lama are served through the naval command's SPPG. The other seven schools are TK Hang Tuah 7, SD Plus Hang Tuah 4, SDN Cipulir 03 Pagi, SDN Cipulir 11 Pagi, SMA Hang Tuah 1 Jakarta, SMP Hang Tuah 2, and TK Islam Al Ishlah, with a total of 2,986 students," he explained.

He furthered this program also paid attention to the quality and diversity of the menu in a bid to prepare a golden generation for the future of the Indonesian nation.

"Jakarta Government is committed to providing support for this program," he asserted.

A Fifth Grade Student of SDN 01 Cipulir, Aulia admitted she was happy and grateful for the free nutritious program at her school.

"Alhamdulillah (thank God), the food menu served every day is varied, delicious, and nutritious. So, I don't need to bring food from home anymore," said the student who aspires to become a doctor.
